Write Tools Writing is Wonderful
The English 2 S classes are working on building beautiful Write Tools paragraphs. Write Tools uses an eight step process for writing that includes: analyzing the prompt, stop and think, brainstorm, pick and choose, plan, color code, turn and talk, and draft. The sophomores have been reading short nonfiction articles from Scope Magazine and then writing a paragraph to answer a question about the article using evidence that they find within the text. They just finished their first paragraph about the Tri-City Tornado, the deadliest tornado in U.S. history that hit Missouri, Indiana, and Illinois in March of 1925.
