Honoring the commitment and talents provided by our athletes, we will recognize their personal contributions by providing a letter of achievement or letter of participation for the cross country runners.
The system we will use for lettering will based on points earned throughout the season and off-season. It encourages one to develop healthy “off-season” preparation to enhance our cross country program. In addition it encourages the athlete to strive to increase their personal best results and challenge other team members to pursue their best.
To achieve a letter an athlete must earn 11 points along with attending practices and meets, and complete the season in good standing.
Points can be earned in the following manner:
An injured runner who lettered the previous year may still earn a letter upon recommendation of the coach.
Letter winners in all cases will be determined by the head coach.
To letter for the Lexington Boy’s Tennis varsity team, players must meet one of the following requirements:
1. Play in three of the regular season varsity contests
2. Be a senior in good standing
3. Play on the conference/state lineup
Players who suffer a season-ending injury, or an injury that prevents them to meet one of the requirements, may still letter at the head coache’s discretion.
Varsity Letter Awards will be given to those that complete the following:
Participation Awards will be given to those that end the season in good standing with the team;
Cheerleading is a NCA (Nebraska Coaches Association) certified sport. For this reason, cheerleaders are able to letter if they meet the requirements. In order to receive a varsity letter for cheerleading, you must meet the following requirements per season:
Varsity Letters will be given to those meeting two of the three following requirements
1. Participate in enough quarters to equal 50% of games played
2. Compete in a postseason game (Sub-districts/District/State)
3. Be a Senior in good standing with the team.
Players who suffer a season-ending injury, or an injury that prevents them to meet one of the requirements may still letter if they otherwise would have met the requirements.
To letter for the Lexington Boy’s Basketball varsity team, players must meet a minimum of two of the following requirements:
1. Play in half of the regular season varsity contests
2. Be a senior in good standing
3. Be on the district/state roster
Players who suffer a season-ending injury, or an injury that prevents them to meet one of the requirements may still letter if they otherwise would have met the requirement.
Cheerleading is a NCA (Nebraska Coaches Association) certified sport. For this reason, cheerleaders are able to letter if they meet the requirements. In order to receive a varsity letter for cheerleading, you must meet the following requirements per season:
All those eligible for lettering MUST be in good standing at the end of the Powerlifting season.
Must meet 2 of the 4 requirements
1. Medal in all regular season meets (1st-5th Place)
2. Medal at the state meet
3. 66% of lifts made during meets
4. Wilk’s Coefficient – Boys 100 or above — Girls 85 or above
Powerlifter’s who have been a part of the program for all 4 years, have ended each year in good standing at the end of the season but did not meet 2 of the 4 requirements, will be awarded a letter for their dedication to the program
Unified Bowling Point System for Lettering (Must have 20 to letter)
The athlete must participate in 50% or more of the meets (District and State not included) and meet the following criteria:
The requirement for lettering in Boy’s Golf is that a student must play in a least half of the Varsity meets.
To letter for the Minutemaids Soccer Team, student-athletes must meet the following requirement:

HOWEVER, the coaching staff will have the final decision when it comes to individual lettering requirements.
To letter for the Minutemen Fútbol Program, student-athletes must meet the following requirement:

To earn a varsity letter, a player must participate in half (50%) of the varsity meets or place in the top 2 in a varsity tournament involving six or more teams.
Minutemaids: minimum of PV 8’6″, SH 36′, Discuss 110′, HJ 5’2″, LJ 15’8″, TJ 34’6″, 100 m: sub 13.3, 200 m sub 27.8, 400 sub 63, 800 m sub 2:40, 1600 m sub 5:56, 3200 m sub 12:50, 100 H: sub 16.6, 300m H: sub 50
Minutemen: minimum of PV 12′, SH 48′, Discus 130′, HJ 6′, LJ 20’3″, TJ 40’6″, 100 m: sub 11.5, 200 m sub 23.8, 400 sub 54, 800 msub 2:07, 1600 m sub 4:55, 3200 m sub 10:50, 100 H: sub 16.3, 300 m H: sub 42.5
All letterwinners must complete the track season in good standing by maintaining eligibility and returning equipment issued.

A letter will be given for every 600 points in band. A letter will be given for every 350 points in choir. 1 For each hour of work outside of band (must bring in a practice sheet signed by parents)
