In STARS PE this month we have started calculating the steps in PE class using clickers. The class puts them on at the beginning of class and checks them at the end. The students then use their calculators to see how far they get in class that day. The most steps we got in one day were 16,824 steps. So far as a class we have walked a total of 64,395 steps. Which takes us almost to Gibbon, NE. The students also get to celebrate in class and have a winner for who got the most steps that day. The students are getting competitive in class and want to be the one who has the most steps. The most steps by a student was by Juan with 3,402 steps in one class. Our goal is to make it all the way across Nebraska by February 1. Students have also been doing tennis and hope to start hockey in the coming months.
