The American History students have been studying the decade of the 1920’s.

The 1920’s are considered roaring because of the freedoms and opportunities the American public gained because of an improving economy . They took advantage of these opportunities in ways that were wild and exciting, giving this period its name. This period saw the large-scale development and use of automobiles, telephones, films, radio, and electrical appliances in the lives of millions in the Western world.

The students researched and answered questions in eight different areas:

Sports, Automobiles, Jazz Age, Prohibition, Mass-Media, Lifestyles, Women’s Suffrage, and Technology. After answering the general questions the students were asked to select one area that they would like to research in more detail.

When their research was complete they could present their information in several different ways: report, poster, trivia game, collage, or slideshow. The students found that it was a very interesting era and were very creative in their presentations. It was a fascinating time period that led to our current way of life.
