Reading Is Lit!

In the final December days before break, Mr. West encouraged students and staff to cozy up with a good book. Jammies and slippers were the dress code for the day, and many students brought their stuffies as well!
There were also some surprises during the day. Mr. West’s spy network found students from every grade wearing pajamas and reading books. These lucky students were called down to Mr. West’s office for an additional treat when they drew a number and got a corresponding prize – candy, an ice cream cone, a movie ticket, or a pizza! Thank you to Majestic Theater, Dairy Queen, and Little Caesars for their generous support of reading at Lexington Middle School! Thanks to Mr. West as well, for surprising three lucky, pajama-wearing teachers with a free class period!
