Lexington High School Names Jesse Hall as Next Minutemaid Soccer Coach

Lexington Head Girls Soccer Coach, Keith Allen, announced his resignation as head coach at the conclusion of this season. Coach Allen served the Minutemaids as Head Coach from the Spring of 2006 until the conclusion of this past season (18 years).

Before 2006, Keith served as an assistant coach at Nebraska City High School for one year (1998). In 1999, Keith took over as the Lexington Head Boys Soccer Coach for six years (1999-2004).  In the spring of 2000, Coach Allen led the Minutemen to the State Tournament, losing to eventual Class B champs, Omaha Gross.

A banner year for Coach Allen was 2021, when the Maids soccer team finished with a 14-5 record, and were the Central Conference Champions, B-6 sub-district Champions, and the B-7 District Champs. That year the Maids qualified for the State tournament, losing to eventual runner-up, Norris, in the quarterfinals. This past season, Coach Allen led the girls to another record setting season, in which some individual players achieved all-time records. The Maids finished 12-5, were Central Conference Runners up, Sub-District Champions, eventually losing in the District Finals game to old nemesis Norris HS.

Coach Allen has been selected to coach in the Shrine Soccer Classic All-Star game twice (2007 and 2013). He has helped pave the way for several Maid soccer players to play college soccer. His outstanding ability to motivate and create a family culture has been a staple of Lex’s girls soccer program.

Keith is married to Lorena, who serves in the Home Health Care Industry, and they have two very successful children who are currently in college, Keith Jr. and Abellanedad (both LHS alum, and former Minutemen/Minutemaid athletes).

Lex High School Athletic Department is very fortunate to announce the hiring of Jesse Hall as the next leader of the Minutemaid Soccer Program. Jesse has been coaching soccer since he was 16 years old, so he brings two decades of experience and knowledge to the table.

Coach Hall’s journey at Lexington High School began in 2015 when he joined the staff as an assistant under Coach Allen. His commitment and passion for coaching was apparent right away, and Coach Allen began sharing many coaching responsibilities with him. During his tenure as an assistant, Jesse has played a vital role in the success and growth of the program and the upward trajectory the team has been on during the last four years.

Jesse is a 2004 graduate of Blair High School. After High School, Jesse attended ITT Technical Institute, earning his degree. He works for Orthman’s Manufacturing as an IT specialist here in Lexington. His wife, Melissa, is the reason for the family’s move to Lex in 2014. Melissa is a Physician Assistant at Plum Creek Medical Group. Jesse and Melissa have been married for 13 years, and have two children, Carter (10 yrs.) and Addison (5 yrs.). In addition to his High School coaching duties, Jesse is very active coaching soccer in the Unifut Soccer Club, and gives much credit to Unifut for the success of the boys and girls high school programs.

A quote from Coach Hall:

“I am excited and honored to be in charge of this program and to work with Coaches Prososki and Ortiz to help this program become elite and challenge for a state championship.  Some of the happiest moments in my life have been while on the sideline of a soccer field.  With the support of my family, I will give everything that I can to the Lexington Soccer Family.  Thank you to the community, administration, parents, and players for trusting me with this great responsibility. Go Lex!”
