The Mid-Nebraska Makerspace Lab (MNM), sponsored by area STEM professionals, is coming to Lexington Middle School! With the purpose of exposing students in central Nebraska to STEM skills, the lab will include the following: 

  • Branding & Marketing Lab
  • Electronics Lab (Dawson Public Power District)
  • CNC Router Lab
  • Engineering Lab (Educational Service Unit 10)
  • UAV Programming Lab (Country Partners Co-op)
  • Robotics Lab (CashWa)
  • Sustainable Smart Home Lab (Johnstone Supply)
  • Virtual Reality Lab
  • Pneumatic Lab (Central Community College)
  • Welding Simulator Lab (Orthman)

Lexington is one of eleven school districts to participate in Year One of the MNM lab experiences which are organized and scheduled through Jason Everett, Blended Learning Coordinator at Educational Service Unit 10. The middle school library will be hosting the lab in Lexington, and middle school 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students currently enrolled in Mrs. Maguire’s InfoTech classes, Ms. Rogers’s CTE Ag classes, and Mrs. DeLap’s Living Skills classes will have the opportunity to interact with the labs during the next two weeks, January 27 – February 7.  More information about each component of the MNM lab is available at http://mnm.esu10.org
