Close to 500 Lexington High School students have access to books at the public library and thousands of eBooks on Sora because they now have a Lexington Public Library card! Signing students up for public library cards is just one joint effort that the two libraries are working on together. The public library will also be providing volunteer community service opportunities for LHS students such as mentoring and reading to elementary students, assisting with crafts, and other activities throughout the library. Books have been purchased by the public library to introduce a book club for high school students. If students are interested in signing up for a volunteer activity or joining a book club contact Mrs. Buck in the high school library.
