The beginning art 1 students have been working on drawing from the still life. The still life has been changed throughout the quarter, gradually becoming more difficult.

The students are at the pinnacle moment, where more organic objects and shapes are introduced to the still life. Skulls and bones are just some of the objects the students will need to analyze and render in their work. When making the transition from drawing geometric objects to organic shapes, it is important to identify the geometric shapes within the organic ones.

Anthony Alegria, Fr., looks closely at the cow skull for any basic geometric shapes within it.

Vanessa Cardiel, Sr., takes a stab at drawing the bison skull with geometric shapes.

Branden Araiza, Fr., draws in some geometric shapes, as classmates, Marcos Sanchez, So., and Coby Bliven, So., look on.
