This month, the ELL students started a new unit in history class which is about the Maya in the Past and Present. Students are currently learning about the culture of the Maya and how they lived in the past. We are also learning new vocabulary words and practicing it daily in order to gain a better understanding of the ways of the Maya. We are also learning all of the Central and South American countries. We are practicing every day through various forms, Kahoot, Quizizz, Map Games, and studying together with a partner. So far, learning the countries haven’t been an obstacle for the ELL students and they have been chipping away at all the information to become experts in the Mayan culture.

If you’d like to see more of what our students are doing, come join us in room 602 (Mr. Revelo’s room) after school Monday through Thursday to stay up to date with what our students are working on in tutoring.
