Lexington Public Schools Kindergarten Registration
for the 2023-2024 school year.
The time frame for registering students for next schools year’s kindergarten class in Lexington Public Schools is from March 1 through March 31, 2023. NOTE: If your child attends preschool at our Early Learning Academy, there will be no need to register your child for Kindergarten as those students will be processed internally.
According to state law, children must reach age 5 on or before July 31, 2023 to qualify for enrollment into kindergarten. Children who reach age 5 after July 31, 2023 will qualify for registration into preschool, which will take place in April 2023.
Children who meet the above-mentioned age requirement for Kindergarten may be registered at the Lexington Public Schools Registration Office located at 300 S. Washington in Lexington, Nebraska.
Be sure to bring the following two items:
- The child’s certified birth certificate
- The child’s immunization records.

Other Requirements to be completed before school starts:
Children entering kindergarten are required by the state to have a physical, a visual exam and additional vaccines.
