The Western Civilization class is studying Napoleon and the French Revolution. One of the assignments is to create a French Revolution Movie Poster. The idea for this assignment is to take a significant individual or theme and create a movie poster showcasing the historical context as the backdrop of the poster. The elements in the movie poster that will be assessed are the movie title, representation of the historical topic, a one-liner slogan, and the backdrop of the poster. Then the student will turn in a one-page analysis of the movie poster which explains why they chose the design, historical topic, and how it reflects the event in the French Revolution.
