Feel Good Friday: LPS Staff Shout Out
feel good friday winner for MARCH 4, 2022 was HILARY KLAMMER
Hilary Klammer is a School Psychologist for LPS, and was nominated for a staff shout out by Lori Shutts for being a strong leader, and support to staff and students. Hilary also assists the district by participating on our mental health district team, and as a behavioral support.
When asked what she enjoys most about LPS, Hilary shares that she loves being able to collaborate with staff members and interact with students in order to improve their overall educational experience. She states that in her current role, she has been afforded time to invest in the social-emotional and mental health needs of our district. This has allowed her to build relationships with students, their families, and staff members. Hilary says that it has been incredible to see student growth, as well as system level growth through the establishment of vital social-emotional components. Hilary is looking forward to continuing strategic efforts in these areas throughout the district.
Hilary moved to Lexington in June, 2019 with her husband. They have a two year old daughter, Hollynd, and two dogs, Rio & Zion. They will be welcoming another baby to their family in May. Hilary enjoys spending time outside with her family, traveling to national parks, and planting and harvesting their garden. She and her family feel incredibly blessed to live and work within the progressive, and diverse community of Lexington.
When asked what she would say to inspire gratitude in others, Hilary shared that she is honored to receive this award, and believes that success is reached when collective members of our community work together to positively impact our youth. As educators, we can help to establish foundational components within every student that will leave a lasting impact in our school, community, and world. Hilary encourages everyone to find positives within our system and express gratitude for those efforts.

What are feel good Fridays?
Feel Good Fridays are celebrated the first and third Friday of every month where one staff member of LPS is recognized for their hard work and dedication they provide to the district. All staff members have the opportunity to nominate their colleagues in the days before the drawing. All nominations are entered into a random drawing and one staff member is selected to be the spotlight for that week. Our winner receives a bouquet sponsored by Plum Creek Market Place Floral Department and a gift card donated by USave Pharmacy and Gifts. It is our hope through spreading kindness and an attitude of gratitude we will continue to strengthen a positive culture at LPS.
