Spanish 1 and Intermediate Spanish 1 have been working hard all semester! We have covered a variety of topics and have been expanding our vocabulary while improving our spelling! We also recently watched a video on el Día de los Muertos. In addition, we will be doing a Thanksgiving Day project soon to show what we are thankful for. ¡Qué divertido!

Spanish 1 has been practicing our reading skills by reading about Enrique and María and their daily lives. Intermediate Spanish 1 has been reading about a girl named Xóchitl and her love for learning English as well as her small village in Guatemala in a book called “Las lágrimas de Xóchitl.”

In Spanish 2, we have been learning a new verbal tense and talking about our daily routines. We were able to watch a few videos about el Día de los muertos, while making flores and coloring Día de los muertos drawings. We will soon be learning about shopping terms and more irregular verbs. On Mondays, we have been reading a book called “La niñera.” It follows the journey of Yamila and Ashley through their high school year and their two very distinct and relevant realities.

In the next few weeks, we will be wrapping up our last few chapters for the semester and working on studying for the final. Have a great holiday season!
