Lexington Logo Black with White Outline

November marked the opening for the Creation Lab, our LMS makerspace!  Every Monday after school, from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m., students can come to the library classroom to make something.  We’ve had a lot of fun so far. The featured item for the month of November was the button maker, borrowed from the Central Plains Library System. Students made button badges, magnets, mirrors, and keychains. Mrs. Maguire’s Info Tech classes and Mrs. Molina’s (Wylie’s) art classes visited during the school day to try out the equipment.  The art students created keychains that depicted the amazing anime eyes they drew in class.

Additional maker activities this month included: origami, Legos, scratch art, and duct tape creations.

December’s featured item is LittleBits circuits. Extra activities include: card making/lettering, making ice cream, and MakeyMakey.
