Student’s in Mrs. Peterson’s class cook or prepare a snack, drink, or meal nearly every day during 6th period. Once students become adults and live independently, they could be doing this for themselves and their families or roommates. Therefore, daily practice is key. This first quarter we’ve focused on simple 2-ingredient foods that are easy to make. This week we took it to a new level by making pizza. A box dough kit still classified it as “semi-homemade”, but students had fun learning to knead and roll the dough. The end result was fun to share with classmates and teachers. We look forward to more variety and challenges with recipes in the future!
