I can’t help but think of what Benjamin Franklin said, ‘tell me and I forget… teach me and I remember… involve me and I learn.’ I was blessed to have Mr. Follmer come into my Applied Science class and help me teach the muscular system. The students were learning about the structure and function of muscles. Mr. Follmer came into class and made the muscular system come alive! The students were engaged and enjoyed hearing about injuries, recovery, and taking part in seeing their muscles move with electricity! The Applied Science students have been learning basic concepts about human anatomy and physiology.

The students in Physical Science have been learning about the different forms of energy. This past quarter we have looked at electromagnetic energy, thermal energy and chemical energy. We are currently learning about the periodic table and are looking forward to learning about atoms and how they react. I look forward to the learning what will take place as we finish the school year out strong!
