Lexington Logo Black with White Outline

This is the question we are diving into for our Reading Skills class. Our workshop is based around this concept. We are learning about culture, community, heritage and identity. We are currently reading an excerpt from the novel Untwine by Edwidge Danticat, which deals with the adjustment a family has to make because of a tragic loss. We spend our time improving our reading skills with an interactive software program, group activities and each student reading an independent book. We are looking forward to reaching out to our friends and family through a very traditional method – handwritten letters.

You are welcome to stop into Room 301 and check out a book, we have a great selection!

Hope to see you soon, Mrs. Kuefner

“I think books are like people, in the sense that they’ll turn up in your life when you most need them.” – Emma Thompson
