Students in English 2 CT have been working on their paragraph writing skills. We have been reading different articles in Scope magazine from Scholastic and then using the article to write different types of paragraphs using evidence from the texts. The students have been learning about a lot of different historical events and also working on improving their sentence structure, grammar, and word usage. We have read about deadly tornadoes in 1912, John F. Kennedy surviving being stranded at sea during World War II, the huge boat rescue that happened on September 11, 2001, and are now learning about the similarities and differences between Covid-19 and Polio. The students have really improved their writing skills and we are so proud of all of their hard work!
