Seal of Biliteracy – Lexington Public Schools

Last Friday, February 25, 2022, Seniors had the opportunity to go to UNK to take the AVANT Spanish test for their Seal of Biliteracy.

The Seal of Biliteracy is a national recognition given to students that are proficient in two languages. There are two types of seals, the gold and the silver, and depending on how may points they get on the test, students can qualify for one of those. Graduating Seniors who earned a seal will receive a purple cord to wear during the graduation ceremony in May. This year 33 students took the test and we are waiting on the results, which will arrive in 3-4 weeks.
