In Physical Science the students have been exploring the properties of the periodic table. Two properties we have been focusing on are valence electrons and oxidation numbers to study how the elements form ionic and covalent bonds. With this information students are asked to predict chemical formulas, calculate molar mass, draw Lewis Structures, and name the compound. Here is an example structure of water, H2O!
