In December, the Symphonic Band performed their annual winter concert at the middle school including the following pieces: “Christmas Vacation”, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, and “Christmas Finale”. The Jazz Band performed “This Christmas”, “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town”, and “702 Shuffle”. The students are now working on pep band music to play at varsity basketball games, and are enjoying new popular music with a few old tunes. The band will be split once again for the spring semester into a jazz band and a concert band (or two) after chair placements. The percussion class is currently working on a winter program titled, “The Escape from Alcatraz” to be performed at a later date.
