The LHS Band and Percussion students wrapped up their concert season in April with amazing performances and outstanding effort. As the school year is coming to a close, each class is focusing on next year’s marching band show. We have been meeting with the students in preparation for the summer and fall seasons. We will be checking in school instruments next week, cleaning, and making sure they are ready for next season. There is still a lot to do but the students are getting excited after hearing our new show (stay tuned). During the summer, there will be band camp, percussion camp, drum major camp, and even a trip to Europe! The few students that will go to Europe will travel with the Nebraska Ambassadors of Music and will visit 5 countries while learning about the birthplace of classical music. The dates for Band Camp will be July 31-August 4, and Percussion Camp will be July 24-28.
