“From phones to cars, technology touches every part of our lives. If you can create technology, you can change the world.”  -Susan Wojcicki. Students at Lexington High School are learning the programming language python, creating virtual worlds by programming Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, and engineering and programming with Robotics.
Intro to Computer Science with Python students are learning to write programs using Python language. Students write programs to solve different challenges daily as they learn more concepts of Python. The daily challenges present real-world applications for students to solve using technology.  Students use Python, and their coding skills create ringtones, songs, or short music clips. Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality is technologies changing how we interact with the world around us. These technologies are changing how industries train workers to how people shop online. The opportunity to code and program a virtual world has many real-world experiences. Students have learned to program many elements using A-Frame. Technology is revolutionizing industries by providing automating tasks with robotics. Robotics class provides students with lessons on engineering and design. Students design robots to solve and complete real-world tasks and program their robots to complete the task autonomously. The experiences in Computer Sciences provide opportunities to learn skills that will help these students change the world.
