Shop students at the Alternative Education Support Center have been busy this month breathing new life into our kitchen cabinets that had been sporting a 1960’s vibe. Step one was to take off the hinges and hardware. Sanding off the old varnish was next. Then came two coats of primer and two layers of a relaxing blue color of paint. While they were at it, they designed and made new trim to go around the doors to give them a modern flair. The handles and hinges were spray painted to eliminate 50 years of usage. The last steps will be to reattach the doors to the cabinets and put all of the materials back in order! Job well done, shop crew!
