This month we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in class. Many Latino countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras celebrate their independence from Spain in this month. Most of our Latino students here at LHS come from those three countries. Some of the activities for this week include a short video of Mexico’s Independence Day, a project about popular food in Latin America, and eating pupusas from the Salvadorian Restaurant called El Rinconcito across the street form the high school.

Students are excited for this week and look forward to celebrate their heritage and culture with their peers!
