The Clothing and Textiles classes started out the semester with a field trip to Walmart in search of flannel for a pair of pajama pants. The staff at Walmart were very prepared for the arrival and systematically ran the students through without a hitch. The pajama pant project was started mid November and completed within a month. Some of the students picked out plaid fabric which made their projects a little more complicated, but they finished successfully. A private style show was performed in Mrs. Gydesen’s room with the students strutting down the catwalk. Although some of the students were not sure if they could sew a pair of pants, most of them were very pleased with the end product.
