Feel Good Friday: LPS Staff Shout Out
feel good friday winner for December 17, 2021 was Danie Hilton.
Danie Hilton is a 2nd grade teacher at Bryan Elementary and was nominated by Tiffany Denker, Ashley Pano, Crystal Contreras, and Rosa Robinson for always going above and beyond for her students. Her creativity, organization, and consistently kind nature earned her an LPS Shout Out!
When asked what she loves most about LPS, Danie said she loves that even though we are a fairly big district, people know who everyone is. You get greeted by name everywhere you go! She also shares that everyone at Bryan is treated like family. She said, “We have a great staff that will support each other.”
When Danie isn’t at school, you can find her at home with her three dogs Tia, Cricket, and Beno. She also loves crafting, and states that she sometimes surprises herself with her creations! Danie has 3 siblings, and many nieces and nephews (5 of who are Lexington students).
When we asked her what she would say to inspire others, Danie said, “Anytime you can, smile! Smiling to everyone you meet can help to brighten their day. Giving someone your smile may help their day. I just like smiling, smiling’s my favorite!”
Congratulations, Danie! LPS is proud to have you on our team!
What are feel good Fridays?
Feel Good Fridays are celebrated the first and third Friday of every month where one staff member of LPS is recognized for their hard work and dedication they provide to the district. All staff members have the opportunity to nominate their colleagues in the days before the drawing. All nominations are entered into a random drawing and one staff member is selected to be the spotlight for that week. Our winner receives a bouquet sponsored by Plum Creek Market Place Floral Department and a gift card donated by USave Pharmacy and Gifts. It is our hope through spreading kindness and an attitude of gratitude we will continue to strengthen a positive culture at LPS.
