The Role of Parents in Athletics
On Wednesday evening, Aug. 21st, at 6:00 p.m., Darin Boysen (Executive Director of the Nebraska Coaches Association) will be at Lexington High School to deliver a powerful message that will be helpful for the parents (and therein, the student-athletes) of Lexington Public Schools.
“The Role of Parents in Education-Based Athletics” is the name of the presentation, and it will last approximately 1 hour. The program will suggest several helpful strategies to apply in order for their son/daughter to get the most out of their participation in sports. It will also help parents learn about how to fully enjoy the experience of watching and supporting their child and his/her team during the season.
Lexington Schools will provide snacks and drinks during the presentation, as well as provide other important information about LPS Activities that cover anyone who participates in an activity for the Minutemen & Minutemaids. This program is for anyone whose child plays a sport, fall, winter or spring.
Please join us as we examine the best game plan for parents to help their child succeed in an education based athletic program!
