Over 600 hours of work went into making 205 teddy bears for children of Ukraine.  Mrs. Gydesen’s Clothing and Design classes stopped regular projects to make something for someone else.  “It felt good to know you are doing something for others,” junior Dorka Lucas wrote while completing her project portfolio page.  The pattern was free and most of the material was donated.  The students learned how to cut, sew, use plastic eyes and hand sew the little bears.  A Ukrainian church in Lincoln, NE will ship the bears with other articles going to the people of Ukraine.
