Red Ribbon Week at Pershing

October 13, 2011

Spirit Week

Next week, October 17 – 21, we will observe Red Ribbon Week.  It’s an important time for students to learn about the dangers of drugs.  Each year we focus on this at this time.  To mark this week and make this a memorable event, we are having a week to show our spirit and dress accordingly:

Monday:            Hat Day – Wear your favorite hat to say, “Hats off to not using drugs!”

Tuesday:           Dig Pink Day – Be the school wearing the most pink to support research in the fight against cancer in realizing prescribed drugs used appropriately cure illness.

Wednesday:      Go Big Red Day – Show your Husker spirit and recognize athletes like our Huskers can’t use drugs and be successful.

Thursday:          Mixed Up Day – Take a stand by wearing a mixed up outfit to say you’re not mixed up when it comes to using drugs!

Friday:              Black & Orange Day – Show your school spirit and recognize Lexington students athletes can’t use drugs and be                             successful either.

Have fun joining in with students and staff as we dress up to show our strong school spirit!
