Read Across America Week at Pershing

Read Across America is approaching and we would like for you to know what activities your child will be participating in. Each day we will all stop to read a book of choice from 2:45 pm to 3:05 pm. Please feel more than welcome to come and celebrate in the reading fun!

 

Date: Feb. 28th, 2011

Theme: Who is Dr. Seuss?

School Wide Activity: Mrs. Swartz will go to rooms and read a book and share interview clips with Mrs. Seuss about Dr. Seuss.



Date: Mar. 1st, 2011

Theme: Red and White Day

School Wide Activity: Wear your red and white READ shirt with a Dr. Seuss red and white stovepipe hat.

Date: Mar. 2nd, 2011

Theme: Favorite book character day

School Wide Activity: Dress up as your favorite book character and be able to show what book you came from.
