We Have Spirit! Yes, We Do!

Local Businesses Demonstrate their Support for TEAM Day

For Immediate Release Oct. 26, 2017 (Lexington, NE) – On Oct. 25th employees from several area businesses put on their favorite team gear in support of our local TeamMates Mentoring Program.

For just a $5 donation, local employees dawned gear or team colors from all athletic levels, and a variety of different sports. Of course our favorite were those who wore our own school team, but at the end of the day everyone was a winner for being the “Biggest Fan” and supporting the kids in our local TeamMates Mentoring Program.

Across the TeamMates organization, more than 8,000 youth in the TeamMates Mentoring Program see their Biggest Fan once a week during the school year when they meet with their TeamMates mentor. Mentees receive support and encouragement as their mentor advocates and cheers them on through their school years providing hope and a positive vision for their future at the post-secondary level.

TeamMates Mentoring Program of Lexington is so pleased with the support of the local business community and their efforts to generate awareness for the need of mentors and financial support for our Chapter.  We would especially like to thank the following businesses and schools who participated in TEAM Day: Dawson Public Power, Edward Jones (Garth Mins), Edward Jones (Dan Clark), Heldt, McKeone and Copley Attorneys at Law, Kloch and Lawton Counseling, MRK Inc, Plum Pretty Boutique, ServiceMaster of Mid-Nebraska, USave Pharmacy and Gifts, The Early Learning Academy, Morton Elementary, Pershing Elementary, Lexington Middle School and the LPS Central Office.
