The Haunted Train

"Boo-orient  Express"

At Lexington Middle School Library a wonderful surprise is haunting the students. A five-foot long candy train is on display for the Halloween season. Designed by Jack and Kim McKenna (grandfather to 8th grader Ethan McKenna), the cake is entirely edible. It has been made with chocolate, fondant, licorice, gummies, and much, much more. For the past three years the McKenna's have donated edible creations to LMS library for Halloween. Jack McKenna is a former art teacher and Kim McKenna works as a Nebraska state food inspector. They reside at Jeffrey Lake, south of Brady, Nebraska. If you have an opportunity, come see the boo-rific train on display, but hurry, the ghouls will be gobbling it up soon.
