March Book Madness

Lexington Middle School just finished up a three week March Book Madness contest. Students nominated books, and the top 16 were chosen for the tournament. Each week we voted to narrow down to the Elite Eight, the Final Four, the semi-finals, and the championship. It was a really tight race, but The Hunger Games won over A Child Called "It" by three votes!!!

In the bracket contest, 6th grader Eli Young was the winner by guessing all but one second round book correctly! Eli wins a basket full of goodies, including James Patterson's latest book, Middle School: Ultimate Showdown. In the staff division, Miss Cristina Munoz had the most successful bracket and wins a Subway card.
