Back to School

Its that time of year where students, teachers and parents are excited about school starting back up.  As summer winds down and we start to get into a new schedule here are a couple of things to remember.

  1. Get plenty of sleep.  With school in full swing, kids minds and bodies growing and expanding they need to get enough sleep to focus and function. 
  2. Eat breakfast every day.  Food is fuel for the mind so start the day off fueling the brain!
  3. Drink lots of water.  The body and brain need water in order to function properly, think clearly and be healthy.
  4. Find time everyday to spend talking with your student to check in on their mental and emotional wellbeing.  Being a kid is though… being a kid in middle school can be brutal and students need all the support and structure they can get.
