Tundra or Nebraska?

November 11, 2019

In the DLP Science classroom, we are examining the various habitats around the world. Students are learning about the characteristics of each habitat and how those characteristics are related to one another. Also, how these habitats produce the perfect living conditions for each of the animals that reside here. At times, Nebraska can feel like the tundra habitat. Typically, in this habitat, the temperatures do not rise above 50°F. Did you know the lowest temperature ever recorded was-128°F?! Thank goodness Nebraska hasn’t ever been that cold! Today we are extra thankful for our prairie and sandhills habitats!
