"Paint-In" Competition

Lexington students recently competed in the Mid Plains Community College Paint-In and student art exhibition in McCook, NE.  Several students received top honors in multiple categories in the exhibition.  Five Lexington students, Sierra Reicks(12), Hana Brock(12), Claudia Perez(10), Karen Zamora(10), Monica Corado(12), won the paint-in competition.  The paint-in competition consists of multiple teams, from several surrounding schools from both Nebraska and Kansas.  The teams are given a theme, and then have 2.5 hours to come up with an original idea and paint it.  This year's theme was "My Perfect World."
