Lexington Boys Soccer Program Annual Taco Feed

January 23, 2018

The Lexington Boys soccer team has just completed its annual Taco Feed at the Lexington vs. Cozad Basketball game on Thursday, January 18, 2018. This was another year of success for the fundraiser which uses the profits to pay for jerseys, practice equipment, and many other expenses needed to have a successful soccer team each year. We were able to sell 500 lbs of meat used for Tacos, Tortas, along with chips and salsa which is all homemade made to order on the spot. The event would not have been possible without the support and cooperation from all the current players, coaches, school administrators, the athletic department, and other staff members who helped and supported the event. We also received support through the form of donations from many local businesses which include Teresa's, AJ Detailing, Princess Bakery, Amy’s Bakery, Tyson, Las Vasquez Market, and Coca-Cola of Kearney. The event also would not have been possible without all the volunteer help the parents of the players gave during the entire event, from setup, to serving and cooking, to teardown and cleanup, the team appreciates all the support that is given to them throughout the community and hopes to continue to see that support as the soccer season draws near. The first home game for the Lexington Boys Soccer Team is a JV and Varsity match against Holdrege on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 5pm at the Lexington Optimist Soccer Fields. Thank you again for all the support and Go Lex!!
