IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN ESTIMATION CONTEST!

As in past years, Miss Baker’s classes had the chance to estimate the number of seeds in three different sized pumpkins.  Students hypothesized that the round pumpkin would have the most seeds, the tall pumpkin would come in second place, and the mini-pumpkin would have the least amount of seeds.  There would only be three winners.  The closest estimation to the actual seed amount for each pumpkin would receive a spooky, but tasty treat.

This year, two students, Griselda Hernandez and Cesar Gonzalez were allowed to take the pumpkins home to follow-up on the dissection following the  scientific method.

Goodbye Halloween pumpkins;  “Hello” to Thanksgiving pumpkins and pumpkin pies!

(Disclaimer:  Only 3 pumpkins were harmed during this experiment.  All seeds were baked, seasoned, and eaten.)
