Christmas in Geometry

December 19, 2018

During this holiday season Geometry Honors made Christmas Ornaments out of the construction projects we did earlier in the semester.  They had to make designs using only a compass and a ruler.  They also had to use skills like copying congruent angles, shapes and segments to form the shapes.  For the ornaments, we found the center of the circles, copied the radius, made 6 notches around the circumference and then made 2 equilateral triangles in different directions by connecting alternating notches forming a Star of David shape.  Then adding a smaller Star of David in the center, it formed a fun design.  After that, what’s better then coloring!
