Strength and Conditioning
October 12, 2012
The strength and conditioning classes will begin progress testing this week. The students will be tested using a T-test assessment and a 40-yard sprint to determine their speed and agility progress. Students will also be testing out on their maximum weight this week (bench, squat, deadlift, and power clean) to see the progress they have made in their strength. When the students are not testing, they will participate in their regular activities. These activities include: agility training on Tuesdays and Thursdays and weight lifting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On the Fridays that they lift, the students are able to pick from a group of lifts instead of having a structured lifting program. Agility days include ladder drills, side shuffling drills, sprinting, ab workouts, and other various activities. Lifting days include lifts such as squats, bench press, deadlift, power clean, and auxiliary lifts. This schedule will continue through the semester and testing will be done again before the end of the semester
