READ 180

Right now, over 150 students are participating in a reading intervention program.  READ 180 was developed by Scholastic and incorporates research-based instructional practices.  Each class period students receive direct instruction from a teacher, as well as technology based instruction or modeled/independent reading.  Each day, students are exposed to content-area vocabulary, a reading strategy, and individualized reading practice.  Soon we'll be adding System 44, another intervention program by Scholastic, designed to target students that need help with reading basics.
