LTV Production
October 4, 2012
If you have been to a LHS home football game this fall, you may have seen the LTV production crew in action. This class of four students, with the help of their friends, has already recorded a handful of home football and volleyball games. With live recording and editing capabilities, the game can be placed on Charter's channel 6 immediately following the game. The students use a Tricaster which is a system that allows three cameras to be used at once, to record and live edit events.
The professional equipment used in the video production class was made possible by a grant completed by Larry Steinberger in 2007. In an effort to increase viewing accessibility, the productions crew has begun to utilize the website USTREAM, which allows viewers to watch live broadcasts from their home computers or smartphone. Although the amount of students enrolled in broadcasting is small, they have been active in attending and capturing LHS events this fall. If you are interested in viewing a live broadcast, please visit www.ustream.tv/channel/lexmedia
