The Value of Focused Study: Quality over Quantity

October 22, 2013

As many of LHS's most successful students know, quality study time trumps hours and hours of unfocused page staring and fact memorizing.  Setting aside forty-five minutes to an hour of quality, focused study time, no matter the subject area, will yield much better results than a Facebook-infused 5 hour study marathon.  The constant updates of statuses, checking those of others, and incessant "liking" of witty sayings distracts the mind in much the same way that trying to read a book under a strobe light would.  The moral of this story: "like" quality study time above and beyond all of life's daily distractors and you will actually find yourself with much better results in your academics along with more free time to indulge those distractions after your studies are complete.
