NeSA Math Practice

January 29, 2013

Everyone is getting geared up for the NeSA Math test this spring. In our math classes the students have taken practice tests to see where their strengths and weaknesses lie. In the upcoming months the students will be working diligently to learn the concepts necessary to pass the test.

In addition to preparing for this test, the students in Algebra 2 are learning about exponential equations. They are graphing equations by hand and are also learning to use a graphing calculator program on their computers called Grapher in order to graph these functions as well. They will also be applying these equations to real-life problems using exponential decay, growth, and compound interest.
