Building Card Towers in CT Applied Science

In Mrs. Bachmanns Applied Science, students have been building card towers in order to apply the steps of the scientific method.  Students have been focusing on the use of independent and dependent variables and learning how to determine the relationship between the two.  Students are enthusiastically practicing the step of modifying and retesting, and retesting, and retesting!. After all the tests were completed, students were required to write a scientific report on the data collected during their tower building. Who knew playing with cards could be so scientific?
