Bryan Walk to School Day
October 1, 2012
On Wednesday, October 3, Bryan School will be participating in "Walk to School" day, an international event to promote physical activity for children. All Bryan students are encouraged to walk or ride a bike to school, rather than ride in a car that day.
Some students live far from school, and there are some concerns for walking children's safety. For these reasons, parents who wish to do so may bring their children to one of 3 locations where a teacher will walk with the children to Bryan. The locations are:
**Pioneer Park (corner of 15th and Madison Streets)
**The Presbyterian Chruch Parking Lot (corner of 8th and Madison Streets)
**Stop light at the corner of 7th and Adams Streets
Walkers will leave these places at 7:20 a.m. SHARP so that students who eat school breakfast will arrive at Bryan in time to eat. Students may also choose to walk or ride their bikes on their own.
We look forward to many students walking to school on October 3rd. Parents you are welcome to walk, too!!!
