Bryan Bobcat Piano Lessons

     Second graders at Bryan Elementary have been involved in an additional class this year:  piano lessons!  They have been learning correct playing habits, counting, note reading, and basic music theory. 

     There have been studies describing the relationship between math and music.  Children who received piano lessons at an early age performed 34% higher on tests measuring spatial-temporal ability than other students.  Developing an ability in music enhances math skills, giving children an advantage in science, engineering, and other math-related subjects. 

     Mrs. Evans teaches these classes.
