District Testing
March 23, 2010
During the weeks of March 29 - April 30 Lexington Public Schools will be assessing students in the NeSA-R test, NeSA-M test and the MAP test.
The Nebraska State Accountability (NeSA) tests are developed specifically for Nebraska. The NeSA-Reading
tests are to be administered to all students in grades 3 through 8 and 11.
In Spring 2009, a pool of reading items was administered to students to gather statistical data on item performance that was used to inform the development of the 2010 NeSA-Reading tests. Similarly, in Spring 2010, a pool of
mathematics items is being administered to students to gather statistical data on item performance that will be
used to inform the development of the 2011 NeSA-Mathematics tests. Starting in the 2010-2011 school year,
the NeSA-Mathematics tests will be administered to all students in grades 3 through 8 and 11.
NWEA (MAP) is the norm referenced test or yearly achievement tests given to students in grades 2 through 10.
